here’s a new drawing, completed over this past weekend – Untitled, ink and colored pencil on archival mat board, 7×8″

Also this weekend I finally got to Blick Art Supply in Pasadena and bought some new colored pencils. I run out of blue faster than other colors so I picked up four different blue pencils, a neon pink and a chartreuse. I completed a large painting on panel last week and submitted it to a juried exhibition, now I wait to hear back…could take another week or so.

Ink and colored pencil on mat board. Although I like the colors in this I think it’s time to go pencil shopping. I love shopping for colored pencils one at a time, I’m running low on blues and could use a new magenta or process red.

new drawing & deadline

Also I’m working on a large painting for an upcoming exhibition whose deadline in now only a few days away. Hoping I can work on it for another 10 -20 hours this weekend. It’s gotten to the point where I’m working on it in 15-20 minute intervals any time that I can. I’ll post more about that when it’s complete.
