swelling

illness is slowly fading,
I gather up old ashes for the journey
to the city of the sun.
Time begins again.
A new incarnation in similar form.
That which cannot be divided,
expanding yet still
indivisible.
The seasons become
like grains of sand
blowing across the shores of time.
Splendour emminates
from all directions,
as memory carresses the soul.
The sweet things cherished
shall never evaporate
so long as the heart remembers.
Purification.
Sacrifice.
Joy.

downgrading planning

I got myself a day-planner, the analog type. I’m starting to really like it. I’ve tried other (digital) forms of planning but never really felt quite connected to the plans. Online calendars are alright & I like how they can send you a text or e-mail reminder, but before the reminder comes up I rarely look into the item level. The only part that I really didn’t need in this analog planner is the phone/contact section (that’s old school). I like writing in ink. This planner is going to be used mostly for business and I’m hoping it’ll help me keep me on top things.

new year

To begin again.
learning to write Arabic.
Presenting at a national conference.
Running a chapter.
Sharing knowledge.
Attending a different national conference.
Schmoozing.
Reformatting and preserving information.
Matting drawings.
Drawing.
Guitars and computers.
Less stress, more accomplishments.
More mornings.
Letters.
Tea.
Reduction of superfluous things.
Organization.
Being on the ball.
Embracing time (and space).
An autobiographical time-line,
which I’ve started at least five times
and always misplace…
perhaps here, in my profile?
why not?
[because the “about me” section is limited to 1200 characters or something – maybe in a new blog post?]
